Last week, we dropped off a long dining table and three custom lofty stools at Luz Studios in the Rock Bay area of Victoria, BC.
We finally have some pieces in downtown Victoria that people can come by and check out!
We went from having five 10ft boards to having a 86"x28"x1.75" table and three stool tops. It took about half a day of flipping and moving boards to find just the right layout. Fortunately, with the extended mezzanine, seeing the bigger picture was not to difficult.
The table and stool legs were a feat in themselves with lots of jigs used and plenty of noisy, dirty, sweaty work. Each carefully crafted for sturdiness.
Steel legs, powder-coated with an oil-bronzed finish, make up the four pieces. For this project, we decided to experiment with ash and a pickled white-wash stain. The table has a slimmer, longer profile than the original Tracy Table. The contrasting materials create a unique and light appearance which is cohesive with overall look of Luz Studios.
